It's also safer, and slightly cheaper. Bikes are faster and more fun. They aren't a reality in Las Vegas. While my neighborhood has bike lanes, road construction has forced cars into them. The fact that they don't really go anywhere except to the WalMart and Starbucks and not to my job, 25 miles away, means that they're more of a political statement than a useful addition to our choices for commuting.
