Spend Less on Gas! Zero Per Gallon

Really, a bicycle is the vehicle of the gods, in my opinion. The most sustainable, healthy, and fun way to get around. In an age of Peak Oil, this is an awesome little way to show why biking rules. I just read about this great meme on the Nau blog: stickers, t-shirts and patches to show your love for your non-fuel consuming, human-powered vehicles. I had the idea for a sticker for the downtube of my bike: “Zero Emission Vehicle“, but I might just get one of these. Dig it. Go get yours and support the cause Zero Per Gallon website here.

BIKING KICKS ASS

Biking is fun. Biking is fast.

Man, that's fab. $0.00 and 9/10ths. Inspired. You're right, it is the perfect vehicle. I gotta get on some safe streets here in the burbs.

I recently pulled my bike down from the rafters and spent a weekend riding around Amelia Island (FL). It was envigorating and I want to do it more often.

Actually, I think walking is the most sustainable and healthy way to get around. It's also safer, and slightly cheaper.

Bikes are faster and more fun. They aren't a reality in Las Vegas. While my neighborhood has bike lanes, road construction has forced cars into them. The fact that they don't really go anywhere except to the WalMart and Starbucks and not to my job, 25 miles away, means that they're more of a political statement than a useful addition to our choices for commuting.

I appreciate where you're coming from, of course. I yearn for a car-free lifestyle. Driving causes anxiety and aggression in me. Plus, it's somewhat expensive, but less than $2000 a year all told, I think. One day, I'll escape the automobile paradigm.

last time i was talking about how biking is the best way to get around the city, i got doored mid-sentence (luckily it was on 9th, literally steps away from the door to the emergency room). superfun.

i still think biking is the best (although i do love a good walk), i just wish drivers would be more aware and more educated about how to interact with cyclists in the city. if i had a beer for everytime some asshole told me to 'get on the sidewalk', i'd be one superdrunk girl.
