illegal public art at it’s finest

I’m lucky(?) because I get to watch a lot of video on the internet. It’s what I get paid to do, which tends to make me a bit jaded at times. But every so often I come across a video that blows my mind. This video is one of those.

The time it took. The energy. The planning. The foresight. The danger. The vision. This is shear and utter genius (plus some good old fashioned hard work).

Blu, whoever you are, I salute you. Applause all around. You will go far.

whoa. that must have taken a really long time. i bet some people were upset about him painting over their graffiti...but maybe not.

That must have taken months and months...and what if someone messed up their work on a wall before they finished that bit? Man.

I wonder what it looked like to walk by the wall every day. Seeing it evolve in pieces would be almost as fascinating as seeing the whole.

Hmmm. I think blogs land in that quasi-commercial realm. The Inky blog, though, probably trends more to the commercial end of things, true. What's her blog, anyway?
