Codgy sez:
Michigan has had the coldest winter in decades. Water expands to freeze, and at Macinaw City the water in Lake Huron below the surface ice was supercooled. It expanded to break through the surface ice and froze into this incredible wave.

This is the <del datetime="2008-12-31T16:03:52+00:00">8th</del> 9th year they’ve done it! I love this kind of good old fashioned funtimes. I’m going to try my best to be there for the 10-year anniversary. Check these great photos by Chris’s sister Schuyler:

Audrey and I <del datetime="2008-12-19T04:09:22+00:00">are</del> were planning to drive to Utah for Christmas with a stop over to see her sister in Minnesota [update: the weather won. We'll just bought cheap plane tickets straight to SLC]. We’ll be blogging and videoing our adventure, so make sure to stop back here often if you’re interested in that sort of thing. We’ll be sure to entertain you.

Right now, I have an eagle eye on the stupid weather which so far is not cooperating very nicely. Both sets of parents are begging us off this trip, or at least to find alternative travel or whatever. Right now, I’m still <del datetime="2008-12-18T22:25:59+00:00">90%</del> <del datetime="2008-12-19T04:09:22+00:00">50%</del> 0% sure we’re set to leave Friday evening. Stay tuned.
